Clayton Moore

Clayton Moore was the first African American hired onto the Fostoria, Ohio police force in 1986. In 2008, the City of Fostoria claimed sixteen conduct violations against Moore and fired him. He challenged the decision, and the arbiter of the case — in a scathing rebuke against the city — reinstated Sgt. Moore, who went on to serve for another ten years, retiring in 2018.

A timely and unique account of the intersection of race and law enforcement in America, Moore shares his story in his first book: “Good Cop, Black Cop: Guilty Until Proven Innocent.”

Jesse was able to attend school in London England on disability income and fulfill his dream of getting into the motion picture industry. Jesse went from rags to riches; he is currently a millionaire and cured from epilepsy.

Prior to Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Dan served as president and CEO of Public Strategies, Inc. Previously, he served in several high-ranking positions at the White House, completing his service as counselor to President George W. Bush in July 2007. As one of President Bush’s most trusted advisors, he was responsible for all aspects of communications for the president and his administration, including the White House press office, speechwriting and office of communications. Dan also played key roles in George W. Bush’s presidential and Texas gubernatorial campaigns.

Dan is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs and a fellow of the school’s Center for Politics and Governance. He also serves on the board of directors of Trek Bicycles.
