A simple interaction with a missionary changed Vashti Hassanizadeh’s family forever. She grew up in Trinidad with nine siblings in a two-room house, with parents who were indentured servants. Needless to say, money was scarce for their family. But that encounter with the missionary gave their family a faith that would not be shaken. Vashti came to the United States and became a nurse, a wife and a mother. Her journey is one of resilience and unwavering hope.
